The Chairperson of the United National Movement [UNM], announced today creation of the new political platform named “Unity – to Save Georgia”.

According to Tina Bokuchava, the platform would bring together UNM, Strategy Agmashenebeli, as well as representatives from other parties and civil society. It will be using UNM ballot number 5 in the upcoming elections.

The leaders of the platform are: Chairperson of UNM, Tina Bokuchava; Chairman of Strategy Aghmashenebeli, Giorgi Vashadze; Independent MPs Tamar Kordzaia and Armaz Akhvlediani, the representative of Mikheil Saakashvili, Sopo Japaridze, political scientist and a Professor, Gia Japaridze, writer, literature expert Lasha Bakradze, civic activist Ana Mosadze, etc.

“I stand before you with a great sense of responsibility to each of you and to each citizen of this country, those who realize and feel that the October 26 elections are a chance to save our country.

This is a chance to reclaim our historical choices. This is a chance to get out of the vortex of controversy and division in which [Bidzina] Ivanishvili’s 12-year rule has dragged us, to become proud and to take proud Georgia to the EU.

Ahead of the October 26 elections, it is our duty to look for what unites us, now is not the time for divisions, confrontations, ambitions or egos. Now is the time of unity for Georgia”, - said Tina Bokuchava at the presentation.
