Today, during one of the scheduled military exercises, in which the aviation component was involved, one of the aircraft belonging to the Defense Forces has crashed. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense.

As a result of the Su-25 disaster, the pilot of the Aviation and Air Command of the Defense Forces, Kakhaber Zurabashvili, was tragically killed.

In order to determine the causes of the mentioned incident, the relevant services of the Ministry of Defense are conducting a detailed investigation.

The Ministry expresses grief over the tragic accident and offers its condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased pilot.
