Georgia will be the host country of 2023 world’s leading tourism exhibition ITB Berlin, enabling the country to present its tourist destinations to an international audience.
“Applying for the status of the host country at the world’s leading travel trade show before the pandemic, Georgia won the contest ahead of countries with “great contribution” to the development of the tourism industry”, - said Levan Davitashvili, the Minister of Economy.
David Ruetz, the Head of ITB Berlin, said Georgia was selected as the host country of the exhibition due to its natural surroundings, adding while the country was “well known” its “mysterious world” was still undiscovered.
