From today, May 2, facemask-wearing will be mandatory only on public transport and medical facilities. Such a statement was made by the Prime Minister of Georgia.
“From today the mandatory rule on the use of the mask will be maintained only in medical institutions and public transport. So from today, all other regulations will be lifted.
We have a very stable picture. The situation in terms of COVID has stabilized. The situation is very calm in this direction. This allows us to ease the regulations. Compulsory mask-wearing will be abolished from today, including in schools, because children are especially concerned. We will observe the dynamics and act accordingly”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
