Strategy Aghmashenebeli opposition party advises the Prime Minister and the Georgian Dream Chairman to resolve the smuggling-related allegations by introducing a package of norms that outlines how Georgia bans transit of sanctioned goods to Russia.

“Ensuring stability and peace in the region serves everyone’s interests, and the close cooperation with western partners and civilization would guarantee this. Speculations about bypassing sanctions should stop, and the issue must close”, - said Giorgi Vashadze.

He clarified that customs officers, border guards, and the police should know which goods are banned from transit and how they should react to law violations.
