My wish was for the delegation of the Speaker of Parliament to be multi-party. Such a statement made today the Chairman of legislature.

“I had communication with the Chairman of the Rada of Ukraine on many issues and we had a friendly and warm conversation. He confirmed his own invitation for us to visit Ukraine and express our solidarity with the Ukrainian people there. This visit will most likely take place in the coming days. My wish was for the delegation of the Speaker of Parliament to be multi-party.

Yesterday we had a conversation with representatives of the opposition, I had an offer to have equal number of representatives, but we could not reach an agreement and then we offered each political group to have one representative. Although in this case the principle of equality is violated and the opposition will be represented in the majority, but given the existing circumstances, I think this offer is correct and therefore I ask the opposition to name their candidates in time. I will communicate with all political groups. It is not easy to organize a visit, it is a very urgent issue and I look forward to the participation of all political groups”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
