Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili and his Ukrainian counterpart have agreed the upcoming visit of the Georgian official to Ukraine in an online meeting, with the trip to be organized in the coming days.

“We talked openly. My Ukrainian colleague said in his statement that any misunderstanding can be clarified. Especially, when it comes to various information, we, unfortunately, see that there is a panic caused by disinformation in Georgia, which then goes beyond the borders of Georgia.

Hybrid war means that, unfortunately, it involves people inside as well, who are waging an information war against their own country. This needs to be verified. Communication can fix a lot of things, and lately I have had intense communication with my colleague.

We clarified many things and we absolutely agree with each other. We agreed to meet in Ukraine as soon as possible to once again demonstrate Georgia’s solidarity to the brave Ukrainian nation”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
