Looking forward to meeting the newly appointed Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili - Jens Stoltenberg

Georgia as a partner is important for NATO. Such a statement made today the Secretary General of NATO.

Jens Stoltenberg said he looked forward to meeting the newly appointed Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili.

“Georgia is a partner which is important for NATO. I expect that NATO foreign ministers will look into how we can further step up our support to Georgia. For Georgia this could increase the support to Substantial NATO-Georgia Package, including the areas of situational awareness, secure communications, resilience and cyber.

NATO could support Georgia in developing its own cybersecurity capabilities and provide additional personnel to the NATO Liaison Office in the country”, - said the Secretary General.
