Ukraine’s president has warned other European nations could be targeted by Russia as he urged them to help his country.
Europe must protect its own security by helping Ukraine defend itself against Russia, Volodymyr Zelensky told a meeting of Joint Expeditionary Force leaders in London via video, urging them to send more weapons.
“We can still stop the Russian war machine, we can still stop the killing of people. We all are the targets of Russia and everything will go against Europe if Ukraine won’t stand so I would like to ask you to help yourself by helping us”, - he added.
It comes after an adviser to Mariupol’s mayor Petro Andryushchenko said almost 20,000 civilians were feared to have died in the southeastern city.
