I want to address all the citizens of Georgia, Georgians, you are special, I admire the extent of support for Ukraine - Andrii Kasianov

Chargé d’Affaires of Ukraine to Georgia Andrii Kasyanov called on everyone to refrain from speculations.

“On Sunday, March 6, a plane was sent to Ukraine with humanitarian aid, 40 tons of medical equipment, medicines, food, clothing, hygiene items and everything that the people of Ukraine are in dire need of now. This is a very timely and important help. The Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia expresses its gratitude, first of all, to all Ukrainians in Georgia, as well as to the citizens of Georgia, representatives of business sector, the Government, the Georgian Orthodox Church for supporting Ukraine.

As for certain aspects of Georgian-Ukrainian relations, I want to emphasize one point: information was spread through the media about the lifting of sanctions on Georgia by Russia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to this information with a statement. We continue to consult with our Georgian partners and are grateful for the explanations given by the Minister of Economy Levan Davitashvili.

We call on everyone to refrain from any speculation and emphasize the inadmissibility of doing business with Russian companies, which gives Russia additional resources to continue the bloody war against Ukraine. The profits are soaked with the blood of murdered Ukrainians.

Once again, I want to address all the citizens of Georgia, Georgians, you are special, I admire the extent of support for Ukraine, there is boundless humanitarian aid, rallies in support of Ukraine on the territory of Georgia, proposals for accommodation of Ukrainian citizens with you, in your families, all the streets and bridges are in the colors of the Ukrainian flag. We Ukrainians feel that you are always by our side and ready to fight with Ukraine for your independence, democracy and your free choice”, - said Andrii Kasianov.
