Russia has added the jailed Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny and several of his top aides to the country’s “terrorists and extremists” register.
The register, which is maintained by Russia’s Federal Financial Monitoring Service, lists individuals who Russian authorities believe are involved in activities that support “terrorist or extremist” organizations.
“Alexei Navalny, Lyubov Sobol, Vyacheslav Gimadi, Georgy Alburov, Ruslan Shaveddinov were put on the list of terrorists and extremists”, Navalny’s team announced on Telegram. Seven more of Navalny’s former regional coordinators and staff members were also added to the list.
