Russian occupation forces illegally detained a Georgian citizen – 23-year-old Lasha Khetereli - near occupied Tskhinvali.

“Hotline has been activated and information was immediately provided to the co-chairs of the Geneva discussions. The central Government uses all the mechanisms at its disposal to release the illegally detained citizens.

The harmful practice of illegal detentions is significantly worsening the security environment on the ground and threatening the stability of the region”, - reads the statement of the State Security Service.

The agency further said that Russian occupation forces are fully responsible for the destructive actions carried out in the occupied regions and along the occupation line.
