Actor Alec Baldwin has met with the family of the cinematographer killed on the set of his latest film, 7news.com.au.
Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot on the set last Thursday in New Mexico, when a prop gun being held by Baldwin was discharged.
Court records show he was handed the gun and told it was “cold”, meaning it should not have had live ammunition loaded.
“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours”, - Baldwin said.
“I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family.
“My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna”.
Photographs emerged at the weekend of Baldwin meeting with Hutchins’ husband Matthew and the Hutchins’ nine-year-old son.
The three were seen embracing outside a hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico, before the trio went inside.
