US Senate Minority Leader Senator Mitch McConnell has thanked Georgia for ‘courage and firm stand’ against Russia at the meeting with the Ambassador of Georgia to the US Davit Bakradze.

“The Georgians have to stand up to the Russians very closely, including against the invasion and occupation that has been going on for almost 15 years. Nevertheless, there is no sentiment in the Georgian Parliament towards Russia.

We also have to deal with them, albeit remotely, which should be somewhat easier compared to living next door to them”, - said Mitch McConnell.
