Vaccination with Chinese Sinovac vaccina began in Georgia today, may 24.

According to the Ministry of Health, two doses required for vaccination are made at 21-day intervals. Georgia has recently received 100 000 doses of the Chinese Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine.

Citizens over 18 will be eligible to receive the vaccine.

The Sinovac vaccine was positively evaluated by The Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization. It is a vaccine based on the traditional method, i.e. the methodology of the inactivated virus.
