The officers of Kakheti police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of investigative and operative activities detained R.M. (DoB 2003) in Lagodekhi municipality for inflicting severe health injury to the family member on purpose.

Committed crime envisages from 5 to 8 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that on February 15, 2021, detainee inflicted body injury to his mother with a cold steel in one of the villages of Lagodekhi municipality. The wounded woman has been transferred to the hospital, where she is receiving relevant medical care.

The weapon of crime-knife has been seized by the law enforcers as evidence.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of inflicting severe health injury to the family member on purpose, article 111-11, III part, sub-paragraph “E” of the criminal Code of Georgia.
