The officers of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search and investigative activities detained E.Kh. (DoB 1983) for attempted murder.

The committed crime envisages from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that on February 13, detainee wounded V.L. (DoB 1974) with a cold steel on the basis of conflict. The incident took place in vicinities of one of the residence blocks located on Chavchavadze street, Batumi. After committing the crime E.Kh. fled from the place of crime. The wounded person has been transferred to the hospital. At this moment, his condition of health is stable but remains serious.

Law enforcers detained E.Kh. on the basis of the relevant court decision.
The weapon of crime- knife has been seized as evidence.

On the fact of the attempted murder, investigation is in progress under the article 19-108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
