If they are so nervous, they can change their position - Mamuka Mdinaradze

No free voting on termination of opposition MPs’ mandates is being considered and the team has already made a decision. Such a statement made today the Chairman of the Georgian Dream faction.

“If the opposition is nervous, they may withdraw their applications and therefore they will have a guarantee that their mandates will not be terminated. As for the position of the majority, there will be another session, however, so far the majority is in favor or terminating the mandates, since they wish so and it is a bit difficult to act against their will.

As for free voting, such a proposal has not yet been raised. One sitting is left before the voting, but I cannot guarantee that anything will change at that sitting”, - said Mamuka Mdinaradze.

The Parliament of Georgia is discussing the statements of opposition members requesting termination of their mandates. The final decision will be made on February, 2.

54 out of 60 opposition members in the Parliament wrote a statement on the termination of their parliamentary mandates. Five of them - Irma Inashvili, Giorgi Lomia, Gocha Tedoradze, Shalva Natelashvili, Levan Khabeishvili - have already had their mandates terminated.
