The officers of the Main Division for the Fight against Organized Crime under the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative and search activities detained Russian citizen – A.L. (DoB 1987) wanted under the red notice by Interpol in his temporary place of residence located in Batumi.

Investigation established that the wanted person has been residing in Georgia since January, 2020.

Russian federation announced A.L. as wanted on the national level from August 19, 2020. On November 9, 2020, the General Secretariat of Interpol declared international search for the mentioned person under the red notice.

A.L. was wanted under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, articles: 112, II part, 126, III part, 163, III part, 210, I part, 240, III part (episode VIII) and article 241, II part, envisaging creation and management of the criminal organization, human trafficking, extortion under threat, organization of prostitution under the pressure or force or threat of force, engaging a minor in prostitution, lewd act committed against a minor by the organized groups and causing a medium-level health damage.

The detainee has been transferred to the penitentiary facility.
