The officers of Isani-Samgori police division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative and investigative activities detained V.M. (DoB 1990) on the basis of the relevant court decision for swindle committed in large quantities in group.

Committed crime envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that on October 25 on the basis of verbal consent G.R. (DoB 991) handed over his vehicle- “Toyota Prius” to the accused person and T.B. (DoB 1987). After the mentioned fact T.B. and V.M. dismantled the vehicle in parts and sold them.

As a result of the complex investigative activities, V.M. was detained on January 4, 2021 and T.B. taken under arrest within the frames of the same investigation on November 2020 in Tbilisi.

The dismantled car was located by police on Kvareli Street, Tbilisi and seized as evidence.

Within the frames of the ongoing investigation it was established that V.M. and T.B. illegally appropriated other vehicles as well by swindle out of which five were seized as evidence.

In order to locate and identify other illegally appropriated vehicles investigative activities are in progress.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of swindle committed in large quantities in group, article 10, II part, sup-paragraph “A” and part III of the same article sub-paragraph “B” under the Criminal Code of Georgia.
