From the morning of 4 January, we received a total of 136 messages on forest and field fires, out of which 116 have been put out, 3 localized, with efforts being made to determine the origins of 17 other fires. Such a statement released the Emergency Management Service

More than 700 firefighters and rescuers and 70 fire and rescue equipment are now on the scene. No one has been hurt in fires, and no threats are posed to the public.

A total of 96 locations of new fires have been detected in Samegrelo, out of which 84 have been extinguished, and efforts are being made to localize 9 other.

In Imereti 26 locations of new fires were detected, out of which 22 have been put out, and efforts are being made to localize 4 others.

In Adjara 4 locations were found, out of which 2 have been extinguished, with fire crew trying to localize 2 others.

In Racha-Lechkhumi 3 fire locations were determined, with 1 put out and 2 more still left to be localized.

In Guria 7 seven locations of new fires were detected, with all of them extinguished.
