Government will subsidize the increased electricity tariff for those families whose electricity consumption will be less than 300 kw. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“Our citizens will not feel the increase in electricity tariffs. For those families whose electricity consumption will be less than 300 kilowatts, the Government will subsidize the increased electricity tariff from the budget.

A total of 1,700,000 people use electricity in Georgia, of which 1,600,000 consume less than 300 kw, which means that 95% of the families of our citizens will be fully subsidized for the increased price of electricity. We are doing this so that in a year of crisis while facing rather serious economic challenges, tariff increase does not become an additional challenge for the citizens”, - said Giorgi Gakharia.
