The investigation of the 2008 war by the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court will enter a more active phase.

This will be one of the main priorities of the Ministry in order to restore justice for the citizens of Georgia who have been victims of ethnic cleansing and other crimes. We have already achieved significant legal results in this process.

Besides, as you know, the Hague Fund for Victims, the member of which I am currently, has approved a three-year program of assistance of 600,000 euros for victims of the August 2008 war. The details of the program will be specified in 2021”, - said Gocha Lortkipanidze.
