I once again call on the representatives of the opposition to participate in the parliamentary work, said today the Speaker of Parliament.

“The 2020 elections created an opportunity for multi-party cooperation in the Parliament, argument-based discussion and implementation of policies typical of Western democracies, and this achievement should not be lost.

In the Parliament of Georgia of the ninth convocation, we carried out fundamental democratic reforms, adopted constitutional changes and changed the electoral system. As a result, Georgia held parliamentary elections in a substantially proportionate system, which the OSCE/ODIHR EOM assessed as competitive.

The result of our constitutional reform is that Georgia will move to a fully proportional system in the next parliamentary elections.

I want to thank each and every one of our fellow citizens, regardless of the choices they make. This is the Parliament of all of you. Special thanks to our supporters”, - said Archil Talakvadze.
