The trial of 7 people detained during rallies near the buildings of district election commissions is underway at Tbilisi City Court.

According to the lawyer of two detainees Nika Kvitatiani and Giorgi Pkhaladze, these persons were illegally detained.

“Yesterday the public saw very well that they were within the scope of freedom of expression, within the force of constitution and that police officers should not have detained them. Our only expectation is that these people should be out and the court should not legitimize the injustices that the police committed”, - added Lasha Tkesheladze.
