Government declares January 9 day of mourning for tragedy in village of Saberio

The Government of Georgia declared January 9 the day of mourning to honour the lives of 5 kids who perished in a tragic fire in the village of Saberio in the Russian-occupied Gali district.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze signed a decree mandating that state flags be flown at half-mast on all administrative buildings across Georgia.

The Government expressed its heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the children, reaffirming its solidarity during this devastating time.

On December 5, 5 minors died in a fire in Saberio. The fire started in electrical wires, which resulted in a gas tank exploding in one of the rooms.
