Prime Minister of Georgia attends the Christmas Liturgy

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia attended the Christmas Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

After the festive service, the Head of Government congratulated all of Georgia on the Christmas holiday.

“Merry Christmas! I congratulate all of Georgia! Christmas is a holiday of love and kindness. It is a holiday connected to the renewal of the world, and I wish everyone love and goodness”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.

The Christmas Liturgy was also attended by Mikheil Kavelashvili, President of Georgia; Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, and representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of the country.

The festive service was performed by the Patriarch of Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, together with the Locum Tenens Metropolitan Shio Mujiri of Senaki and Chkhorotsku, members of the Holy Synod and clergymen.

Before the start of the festive service, the congregation gathered at the Holy Trinity Cathedral and listened to the Patriarch"s Christmas Epistle.
