The Foreign Minister of Georgia highlighted that Prime Minister had the opportunity to communicate with various leaders at the ongoing European Political Community Summit in the United Kingdom.

“Today a very important event is taking place in the UK. We remember that this platform was created at the initiative of the French President Emmanuel Macron and serves the main purpose of bringing the countries that aspire to join the European Union and are members of the European family closer together, and this is one of the mechanisms through which Georgia also tries to get closer to the European family, the EU.

We have a separate, individual, bilateral format with the EU, which is the main line of our European integration, however, the European Political Community platform is one of the useful mechanisms for Georgia to continue its successful European integration.

Irakli Kobakhidze participated in the round table format along with various leaders. It was about energy and connectivity, and Georgia is a very important participant in this process, on the one hand, from the point of view of our geographical location, and on the other hand, from the point of view of our role, to be able to effectively connect the East and the West. The conversation touched on various energy projects”, - said Ilia Darchiashvili.
