Russian missile strikes hit ten regions in Ukraine during a morning attack on December 29, damaging 28 different facilities and injuring five people. Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, a press officer of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, said this at a briefing.
“As for the massive missile strikes on Ukraine, they hit ten regions, 28 objects were damaged. Eighteen of them are private residential buildings, and the rest are critical infrastructure... Three men, a woman and a child were injured in the shelling”, - said Khorunzhyi.
According to him, the State Emergency Service involved about 100 rescuers and more than 15 pieces of equipment in tackling the consequences of the strikes. Some 87 generators were connected to provide electricity to critical infrastructure and social facilities, he added.
Russian troops used 69 missiles during today’s attack on Ukraine. 54 of these missile were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces. Such a statement made Brigadier General Oleksii Hromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The enemy launched air and sea-based cruise missiles, anti-aircraft guided missiles and S-300 and S-400 systems missiles on energy and critical infrastructure facilities in the eastern, central, western and southern regions. More than 69 missiles were used. 54 missiles were destroyed by air defense forces”, - he said
