The Emergency Management Service of the Georgian Interior Ministry has provided rescuers with new, “European-standard” fire retardant suits and equipment.
About 1,000 pieces of fire resistant uniforms, designed for response operations in urban environments, have been delivered to fire rescue units of the Service in the initiative.
In the previous phase of upgrades to the existing hardware of the agency, the European Union representation in Georgia handed seven high-mobility vehicles, three drones, 40 sets of skis and ski equipment, and 12 items of victim search hardware to the Service earlier this month.
