The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is deeply concerned by the significant deterioration of Mikheil Saakashvili’s health, reads the statement of agency.

“Considering the critical condition of the Ukrainian citizen, we call on the Georgian side to provide him with appropriate medical assistance, as well as to approve the petition for the postponement of Mikheil Saakashvili’s sentence for further treatment and transfer to a European or American clinic”, - says the Minitry.

The agency also calls on the Georgian side to provide access to the Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytro Lubinets, to Saakashvili.
