Georgian Defence Forces Chief hosts Latvian National Guard Commander

Cooperation between Georgian and Latvian defence structures was discussed at the meeting between major general Giorgi Matiashvili, the chief of the Georgian Defence Forces and brigadier general Egils Leščinskis, the commander of the Latvian National Guard.

The meeting had highlighted experiences of Georgia and Latvia in developing total defence capabilities and the role of national guard structures.

Giorgi Matiashvili and Egils Leščinskis also talked about measures of the plan of bilateral military cooperation and partnership in military education.
