The Georgian National Communications Commission, together with European experts, has started working on a full-fledged research project of the telecoms market of Georgia.
The research study is funded by the European Union under the AA Facility II, as part of the Georgia-EU Association Agreement.
A group of experts from Croatia, Belgium, Slovenia, and the United Kingdom already arrived in Georgia. During one week visit they will assist Georgian colleagues in conducting market analysis based on European methodology and standards.
The aim of the research is to remove barriers for small businesses, improve their market access, and boost their competitiveness.
According to the existing information, the foreign experts will meet with executives from cellular phone carriers, internet service providers, and the Consumer Rights Ombudsman.
