Russian forces in the past week 10 times launched Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones at targets across Ukraine from the territory of Belarus. Such a statement made Brigadier General Oleksii Hromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of Ukraine Army’s General Staff.
“In addition to the Ziabrivka airfield, the enemy is trying to deploy its troops at other airfields, also conducting active operations on the training grounds across the Republic of Belarus. Also, the enemy continues to use kamikaze drones from that direction. In addition, this week, 10 launches of Shahed drones were carried out from the territory of the Republic of Belarus”, - said Hromov.
According to the senior defense official, Ukraine monitors all these operations and movements: “Currently, we have not spotted an enemy offensive group being created in Belarus, but the enemy is purposefully undertaking certain measures. There are and there will be threats. We are responding accordingly while we monitor the situation. We have already increased our grouping in the northern operational zone. We respond adequately to all threats, not only threats from Belarus, but also from the east and south of our country”.
