“We are also happy that the trade turnover is increasing. In the last 9 months, we have exceeded USD 1 billion in trade turnover, and Azerbaijan has invested significant amounts in Georgia.

Azerbaijan has invested USD 3 billion in Georgia, and we believe that these will be mutually beneficial investments. Of course, we talked about the future energy policy, we exchanged opinions about the projects we have implemented.

We are going to export 22 million cubic tons and increase this volume in the coming years. This year we signed a memorandum between Azerbaijan and the European Commission, and within the next 5 years Azerbaijan plans to double its natural gas exports to Europe.

We have the opportunity to do so and we intend to export almost 20 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Europe by 2027. We discussed this issue with the Prime Minister. There will also be new topics to discuss. Meanwhile, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline will increase exports and the will be more loaded. Also, we want to use the Baku-Supsa terminal, - said Ilham Aliyev.
