According to the decision of the judge Mikheil Jinjolia, all nine persons detained in the case of Vake Park tragedy were sentenced to prison as a measure of restraint.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia demanded imprisonment for all defendants. The lawyers demanded the release of the defendants from the courtroom, or alternatively, the use of bail.

As Archil Tkeshelashvili, the Prosecutor of this case, said, there were both factual and formal grounds for the use of imprisonment, in particular - danger of absconding, destruction of evidence, and a repetition of the crime.
