We need to strengthen political partnership and cooperation with countries vulnerable to Russian invasion, Georgia is one of them - Stoltenberg

We need to strengthen our political partnership, cooperation and dialogue with countries that are vulnerable to Russian invasion, Georgia is one of them - Russia already controls part of Georgia’s territories. Such a statement made NATO Secretary General at the Foreign Policy Forum in Berlin.

“NATO allies support Georgia and we work closely with Georgia as a close partner. Allies have agreed to do more, especially in light of the brutal attack on Ukraine, this emphasizes the importance of actively working with countries such as Georgia.

Also, I think it’s about Georgia implementing the necessary reforms and addressing some of the concerns that we"ve expressed, for example, about corruption and democratic control of security institutions.

The more Georgia solves these problems, the easier it will be to mobilize the necessary support from NATO allies”, - said Jens Stoltenberg.
