The rockfall near the entrance this morning did not cause any damage to the Vardzia cave monastery complex.

According to the Georgian National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation, the geological processes occurred outside the museum’s bounds.

As a result of the incident, the monument was not threatened, adds the agency.
