The Armenian National Security Service issued a statement regarding media reports on the October 8 Crimea Bridge explosion.

“Mass media reported information that the explosive materials used in the terror act on the Crimea Bridge on 8 October 2022 were concealed in a cargo truck driven by a citizen of Armenia, which prior to that had entered Armenia from abroad and then traveled to Russia. In order to check the authenticity of the reports and clarify all circumstances, the Investigative Department of the National Security Service launched criminal proceedings under respective articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia on the apparent cases of supporting international terrorism, smuggling of explosive materials through the EEU border by a group of persons and falsifying documents reserving right, during which interrogations, confiscations and other investigative and judicial actions have been taken.

The investigation in the criminal proceedings continues, urgent investigative and tactical-intelligence complex measures with the use of all possible legal instruments are being taken”, - reads the statement.
