The President of Georgia discussed the ongoing processes in the country and the region with US Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security Bonnie D. Jenkins.

The development of bilateral relations between Georgia and the USA was discussed at the meeting.

Bonnie D. Jenkins once again confirmed the Washington"s full support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia and expressed full readiness to strengthen the strategic partnership with Georgia in other directions as well.

It was noted that the ongoing war in Ukraine has a great impact on the security and stability of the region, Europe and the world in general.

Georgia provides assistance in various directions, declares full solidarity with Ukraine and meticulously follows the established international financial sanctions.

During the meeting, the conversation also touched on the current situation in the occupied territories of Georgia and the threats and risks created in the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine in terms of human rights protection.
