A Government meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. At the meeting the Cabinet’s members discussed 21 issues on the session’s agenda.
The issues to be discussed included an amendment to the Government’s decree related to increasing business travel allowances.
In particular, the applicable daily domestic business travel allowance norm will increase from 15 GEL to 30 GEL, while the daily foreign business travel allowance and rental accommodation norms will be defined individually for each country, based on the situation therein.
As a result of this amendment, maximal compatibility will be ensured between daily business travel allowances and rental accommodation costs and the actual situation both within the country and abroad.
The renewed norms will apply to both the public and private sectors, for which analogous norms will be set by authority of the Finance Minister’s ordinance.
