I don’t think that anyone in Georgia dares to exert pressure on the court. Such a statement made today the Minister of Justice of Georgia.

“Any kind of pressure on the judicial authorities and obstruction of activities is a crime. If such a fact exists in nature, any person, and of course, a judge, can apply to the law enforcement authorities, and I am sure that they will find the truth. I don’t think that anyone in Georgia dares to exert pressure on the court.

Even the theoretical assumption that someone can exert any kind of pressure on a judge is naturally unacceptable, and if threats are made against a judge or any other person, or someone illegally interferes with their work, naturally, they should address to the relevant authorities.

In this case, the Ministry of Justice, naturally, cannot start an investigation, although our position is, of course, that any kind of interference with the activities of judges is unacceptable. This is not only my personal position, but the constitution also says the same”, - said Rati Bregadze.
