A new recreational space will be built on an area of 15,000 square meters in the settlement of Chkondideli in Rustavi. The multifunctional square will be organized on Rcheulishvili Street and is one of the new projects worth 14 million GEL, which Rustavi Mayor Nino Latsabidze announced recently. Rustavi Municipality has already announced a tender to identify the executor of the works.
The mayor of the city discussed the project, together with the deputy Besik Togonidze and the members of the Georgian Dream fraction of the city council, once again on the spot. Nino Latsabidze also met the residents of Javakhishvili #1 and Rcheulishvili #2 buildings, where the strengthening and rehabilitation of the buildings is currently underway.
Based on the request of the population and within the framework of the green city concept, the project envisages the creation of a multifunctional recreation area.
In the new square, there will be sports and children’s playgrounds, paved footpaths, modern outdoor lighting, irrigation system, green spaces, recreation areas, as well as a staircase leading from Rcheulishvili Street to Graneli Street through the square. A dendrological project will be implemented, within the framework of which, various types of trees and plants will be planted in the area. 1 688 134 GEL is provided for the project.
