Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan remarked that his administration’s aim is to arrange a meeting between his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts, Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky, in his country in a “not distant” future and thus contribute to solving the crisis between their two nations.
“The Russia-Ukraine war continues with its effects. Everyone is witness that we, as Turkey, make an effort to prevent it and to result in peace. We are making our efforts to ensure that the approach displayed by our country is also bonded in other areas in the coming days”, - Erdogan said after his cabinet meeting.
Earlier this month, following his visit to Ukraine, Erdogan confirmed he offered Zelensky to organize an in-person meeting between him and Putin.
