The employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia won gold medals at the Olympics – “World Olympic Games of Policemen and Firefighters – 2022” held in the city of Rotterdam, with the participation of representatives of the law enforcement agencies of different countries.
Teimuraz Kalandadze, the director of the Shida Kartli police department of the MIA, defeated his opponent in the 74-kilogram weightlifting category, took first place and won a gold medal.
In the same type of sport, Levan Giligashvili, an employee of the Patrol Police Department, took first place and won a gold medal, competing in the 83-kilogram weight category.
It is noteworthy, that Teimuraz Kalandadze and Levan Giligashvili have won many international titles. They are multiple champions of Georgia, Europe and Asia.
Other representatives of the MIA will continue to participate in the relevant type and weight category among the representatives of the power structures in the World Olympics in Rotterdam, which includes various types of sports.
