Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili, the No 22 seed, moved into the third round of Wimbledon by edging out Frenchman Quentin Halys 7-6 (7), 0-6, 7-5, 7-6 (5) at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.
Basilashvili, ranked No 26, will face the winner of the match between Dutch wildcard Tim van Rijthoven and American Reilly Opelka, the No 15 seed, next.
In the previous round, the Georgian defeated Czech qualifier Lukas Rosol (6-7 (4), 7-6 (6), 3-6, 6-3, 6-3). Halys, ranked No 82, edged out Benoit Paire (4-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-4) in the first round.
