17 Georgian wine companies participated in the international London Wine Fair 2022.

The fair, held since 1981, was attended by wine experts, representatives of the trade and media from around the world. Involving over 400 participants, it also showcased more than 3,000 alcoholic beverages of various types.

During the event, Sarah Abbott, the Director of Swirl Wine Group, a partner of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, held a presentation and tasting of Georgian wine for foreign wine professionals.

“Participation was the best chance for Georgian wine companies to present their products to British consumers, contributing to the growth of Georgian wine exports to strategic markets around the world”, - said David Tkemaladze, the Deputy Chairman of the Agency.

Up to 260,000 bottles of wine were exported from Georgia to the UK between January-May 2022 (53% increase compared to the same period of 2021).
