Mayor of Tbilisi writes about the death of his deputy, Ilia Eloshvili, on Facebook and extends his condolences to his family, friends and relatives.

“It is very difficult for me to find words for this greatest tragedy... It is impossible to explain how I feel about losing Ilia... I lost a friend and a precious person whom I blindly trusted in any matter, we lost a man who helped a lot of people, stand by everyone to the end. My condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. Nothing can fill this pain”, - writes Kakha Kaladze.

Tbilisi Deputy Mayor Ilia Eloshvili was found dead in his house. The exact cause of his death is still unknown.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the death of Eloshvili under Article 115 of the Criminal Code, which stipulates incitement to suicide.
