The United States, the European Union and Britain have launched a framework of cooperation to investigate alleged war crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine.
The creation of the Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group was announced in a joint statement.
Under the framework, war crimes prosecutors and forensic specialists will provide expertise, advice and operational support to Ukrainian prosecutors. The group will also send experts to Ukraine to help collect and analyze evidence.
“Evidence of atrocities by members of Russia’s forces in Ukraine continues to mount. We are united across the globe in our resolve to hold perpetrators responsible”, - said the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
