Talks ongoing with Saudi budget airline Flyadeal for launching flights to Georgia.
According to the Ministry of Economy, a delegation from the airline would visit Georgia in the coming days, with direct flights from 3 cities of the country set to connect passengers to Tbilisi and Batumi in case of successful conclusion of the talks.
Flynas, another Saudi airline, has already launched flights to Georgia, with 26 connections a week to Tbilisi and Batumi.
The Ministry said the number of tourists visiting Georgia from Saudi Arabia had increased by 62% in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same period of 2019, and by 30,848 compared to 2021.
